Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest financial decisions most people will make in their lifetime. A REALTOR® is a highly respected professional who can help you successfully navigate your way through the complex process.

The term “REALTOR®” is a highly respected professional designation identifying a real estate professional who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). Only REALTORS® must abide by the NAR Code of Ethics, a commitment of honesty, integrity and fairness.

According to the 2007 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers by the National Association of REALTORS®, when asked about the benefits of using a REALTOR®, 57 percent of buyers said REALTORS® helped them understand the process, 47 percent said their REALTOR® pointed out unnoticed features or faults with the property, 40 percent improved their knowledge of search areas, 38 percent negotiated better contract terms, 35 percent shortened the search process and 32 percent negotiated a better price.

Once your home is listed, your REALTOR® will begin marketing your home immediately. He/she will then coordinate open houses, ensure full disclosure, negotiate offers, work through the inspection process and so much more. In other words, your REALTOR® will be working hard for you all the way. It’s no wonder that the median home price for sellers who use a REALTOR® is 33% higher than for those who don’t, according to NAR’s 2007 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers
