Membership Transfers

For current REALTOR® brokers or salespersons transferring from another REALTOR® Association, please note the following:

Obtain a Letter of Good Standing from your former Association.

This letter must verify that you have paid your California and National Association of
REALTORS® dues for the current year. It must also list the date on which you attended the New Member Orientation and National Association of REALTORS® Mandated Ethics.

  • If you have not previously attended a REALTOR® orientation, you must attend one within
    30 days of joining PFAR.*
  • Contact our office to receive the appropriate fee.**

Transferring from another Association?

You must terminate or transfer your key with your former Association before it can be activated at PFAR.

* REALTORS® who have completed orientation shall not be required to complete further Code of Ethics orientation upon application for membership in another Association provided that REALTOR® membership has been continuous or that any break in membership is for one year or less. Applicants who have taken orientation in another state will be required to complete PFAR’s orientation.

** Dues are non-refundable. If you have paid California and National Association of REALTORS®’ membership dues for the current year, these may be transferred to PFAR if you are joining as a REALTOR®. You will still be required to pay PFAR dues and MLS fees upon joining.
