The National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics, the MLS Rules, and all membership duties are vital to keeping real estate transactions accurate, fair, and lawful. As members of local associations, REALTORS® are obligated to abide by the Code of Ethics, MLS Rules, and association bylaws. PFAR’s Grievance and Professional Standards Committees are trained to enforce these membership duties.

They are also responsible for providing a fair hearing to members on either side of a real estate-related dispute. In addition to the Pro Standards Committees, PFAR has several other resources available to help resolve both your ethics and arbitration complaints. Our staff is available to get you started on the appropriate path. Our ombudsmen, the new Ethics Advocates, the Grievance and Pro Standards Committees, and C.A.R.’s Interboard Arbitration staff are on hand to assist when a transaction has gone wrong.
