Election Day is almost here! On Tuesday, November 4th, California voters have an important opportunity to engage in our democracy through the statewide ballot measure. Whether you’re voting for the first time, haven’t updated your registration in a while, or simply want to be part of the decision-making process—your vote matters.
Still time if you missed the regular deadline
If you missed the conventional registration deadline of October 20, don’t worry — California offers a safety-net option called Same Day Voter Registration (also known as “Conditional Voter Registration”). According to the Secretary of State:
-
Eligible Californians who need to register or re-register within 14 days of an election may complete this process at their county elections office, a polling place, or a vote center. California Secretary of State
-
Your ballot will be processed and counted once your county elections office completes the registration verification. California Secretary of State
-
If you’re a military or overseas voter, or a voter with disabilities, you should contact your county elections office to learn about specific conditional registration and voting options. California Secretary of State
This means you still have time to act, even if the October 20 deadline passed.
Why this matters to our community
As REALTORS®, leaders, and civic-minded members of our state, we know the importance of being informed and engaged. The ballot measure will impact issues that affect homeownership, property rights, neighborhood development and the economy. When we vote, we help shape the policies that shape our lives and work.
We encourage you to:
-
Mark your calendar for November 4th.
-
Spread the word to friends, family, neighbors, colleagues — especially anyone who may have missed the standard registration deadline.
Ready to get started?

Let’s show up for our community, our homes, and our future.
Your voice. Your vote. Your community.
