LA County Assessment Roll Hits $2.176 Trillion Despite Wildfires

Los Angeles County has just released the 2024-2025 Assessment Roll, providing a comprehensive snapshot of all taxable property in the region—and the numbers are in.

Despite a year marked by catastrophic wildfires that devastated thousands of homes across Altadena, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu, the County’s property values continue to show remarkable resilience. According to LA County Assessor Jeff Prang, the 2025 Assessment Roll has climbed by $82 billion, a 3.91% increase over last year. This marks 15 consecutive years of growth, bringing the net local roll to an estimated $2.176 trillion.

What is the Assessment Roll?
