Congratulations to Matt McIntyre for Becoming the First Male President of Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts

Matt McIntyre, a committed member of PFAR and a vital force on our Awards and Recognition Committee, has stepped into a groundbreaking leadership role within Pasadena’s arts and philanthropic community. Recently named president of Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts for the 2024-2025 term, McIntyre is the first male president in the organization’s 77-year history, marking a significant milestone.

McIntyre’s commitment to the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts has been steadfast since he joined in 2018. Over the years, he has served in multiple roles, contributing his skills and leadership to various board and benefit positions. Most recently, in 2023, he was Benefit Chair for the renowned Pasadena Showcase House of Design, where his vision and dedication helped elevate the event to new heights.

McIntyre shared his pride in leading the organization at a time of unprecedented growth and achievement: “It has been thrilling to see the success of our all-volunteer organization over the last four years since the pandemic,” he said. “Our four recent benefits have seen a surge in attendance and collectively raised $2.4 million that we’ve immediately distributed to our local community, topping $26 million in total funding since our founding in 1948. In addition, each of our music programs is growing, as has our volunteer membership.”

McIntyre’s leadership extends beyond tradition; he brings an innovative approach to engaging the community, and he is eager to continue this legacy with a significant milestone: the 60th Pasadena Showcase House. Although details about this year’s house remain under wraps, McIntyre promises it will be a grand addition, sharing, “Our 60th Pasadena Showcase House of Design will be one of the largest estates we have presented to date and a new Showcase House for our annual visitors.”

Matt McIntyre’s dedication exemplifies the values and mission of Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts, and PFAR is honored to have him as a member and a leader in our shared community. His commitment to elevating Pasadena’s arts and cultural landscape through volunteerism and visionary leadership is inspiring and impactful.
