A group of Pasadena-based community organizations is launching a new discussion series centered on property values, land acquisition, and community-driven development. The inaugural event, “The Value of the Land,” will take place on Tuesday, March 18, at 7 p.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church in Pasadena.
As part of the “Let’s Talk, Let’s Listen” series, this session will bring together experts to discuss key issues surrounding property ownership and land use. The panel discussion, moderated by Heavenly Hughes of My Tribe Rise, will feature three specialists in housing and economic development.
“On this journey of rebuilding and learning, Pasadena Organizing for Progress (POP) aims to create spaces for meaningful conversations about property values, purchasing, and community-driven land use strategies,” stated an announcement shared by NAACP-Pasadena.
